Kamisori 50mm
Traditional Japanese-style straight razor, hand forged in 145SC with XC10 soft iron cladding.
The blade follows the classic asymmetrical kamisori construction, with a hard high-carbon steel edge forge-welded to a softer iron body. This structure combines the keen edge and wear resistance of 145SC with the toughness and forgiving nature of XC10.
The visible transition between the two steels is not an etched surface effect, but the natural result of the forge-welded construction revealed through polishing.
Fully hand forged, heat treated and finished in my workshop.
